Type A Personality

Yes, we are talking about a significant Type A, but what type of Type A are we actually personality profiling here?

Something very special and very fun. But first, let’s break down this secret inside code for you. Don’t share this highly classified information with anyone.

A = Anderson. Type = Prototype. Put it together and we have…

Type A = a Prototype Anderson guitar. A super special—something new—guitar in its final stages of development.

According to the dictionary the word prototype is defined as: An experimental model on which a final, refined product is based or formed.

And here we have the new:

Angel Player 7.

This prototype 7 String instrument is also appearing in a new prototype color of: Satin Translucent Cotton Candy Blue - Dark Grain.

You have probably already seen this guitar test-played by Jason Kui on the Anderson Guitarworks website and on Instagram but we wanted to give you the real rundown and inside info on its sweet and “sound” Anderson aspects.

First and foremost the new Angel 7 family of guitars—coming soon—features 24 fret, 7 string architecture. There are two models from which to choose:

Angel 7: prominently features all the gorgeous wood top options we offer on our regular Angel (6 string) model.

Angel Player 7: A “Player” is denoted by its all vintage-wood body (no top).

This first of its kind 24 fret, 7 string guitar, sonically and visually presents with a Swamp Ash body and Maple, Rosewood neck.

And of course whichever Ande you choose plays like a real “angel,” fast, smooth, sleek and virtually effortless—oh so good! Yes, really.

Have a close up look at the bridge. What you are seeing for our 7-string models is an Anderson-modified Gotoh 510—a 510 baseplate and arm module with modified spring block and saddles, for ultra-supreme performance. This one is mounted countersunk, so there is space behind the bridge to pull up.

But you can alternately choose this bridge to be mounted “decked” (sitting flat on the body with no relief behind) for solid and traditional vintage tremolo function.

There are also Fixed Bridge and full Locking Tremolo with Locking Nut bridge options, for a total of four bridge choices in all.

One of the prototypical anomalies you can spy if you are a super-sleuth is the uniquely spaced 24th fret marker. On our full production Angel 7 models the dots will all be aligned, just as they are on our 6 string models. And all fretboard marker options will be available:

• Standard traditionally-centered Fingerboard Dots

• Offset Front Dots—all to the low side

• Offset Front Dots—high and low side

• No Front Dots.

Editor’s Note: This has been a specialized transmission from the secluded Andes Anderson Prototypical Research Laboratories, Test & Performance Facilities. This information is meant for your eyes only. Share this information with no one—unless of course you can’t help yourself because it just too much fun. Either way, have a splendid day and enjoy.
